 Who Can Join?This group is open for anyone who are currently residing in Australia! Whether you are an overseas student, expat, etc, please join the group and show the world that Australia is one of the best places to live in! Submission Methods  What to Submit?Any member can submit their work into the gallery folder. Members are encourage to mention the location of where the photo was taken. Photos taken outside Australia will be taken into consideration but may not be put through Featured FolderSubmissions to the Featured folder is allowed once a week. Entries to the Featured folder will be judged with scrutiny and a reason may not be given to a denied submission. If denied, you could try entering it to the other folders. Gallery Submission (Maximum TWO per week)Entries will be voted against appropriateness and quality. The quality of submissions we expect at AP is that of something that you could see hanging off a gallery or at someone's home. Submissions to the wrong folder will not be accepted and a reason may not be given to a denied entry. If you feel your submission should've been accepted, please ask for a critique and one (or more) of our team members will give you one. Also its not actually showing anything. A photo, even one of a sunset needs some defined features. A feature is the place the eye looks first. This piece lacks for that. Its pretty, but it needs that something to capture the eye, to suck in the viewer.
For example, my sub par offering behind the [link] uses the road as a way to draw the eye, ehich in turn leads to the setting sun, with the sky being a virant orange.
Your image is pretty, but its glance over pretty, without having any features to continue to look at. Mine has a primary feature, but no back up feature to keep viewers looking at it, which is a flaw of the photographer (that would be me).
The photo is of some kids playing in the sunset... I thought it was sweet... oh well.

Me too (as you can probably guess from my gallery), but you did ask a question & i thought i'd try to give you some feed back. The minimum entry requirements are pretty high in this group & as i've personal found out already "pretty" won't cut it, without some pretty extreme technical skill behind it.
As for post production work, most people will just chuck there photo into photoshop or PSP & just run it through the photo equaliser. It sharpens the colours instantly for you. Failing that find out if your photo shoots in RAW format & download your cameras specific RAW reader (usually its free from the distributor). Shooting in RAW essentially takes an incomplete photo which you can tinker around with all the features on it, without having to have more then a modicum of skill (but you can get some killer resluts).
